About Justin Mac & The Stetsons

Justin Mac and The Stetsons

Ireland’s newest country music sensation Justin Mac & The Stetsons are preparing to take their unique show on the road across Ireland in 2015. The band was formed by ex-members of one of the most successful big bands of the 1990’s & 2000’s – Purple Hearts, who performed on some of the country’s biggest stages.

Lead singer Justin Mac has over 25 years of performing experience and is known for his variety of vocal styles plus his extrovert performance routines with his fans. A formidable bass player and saxophonist, Justin is also a natural communicator and always delivers exciting and humorous performances wherever he goes.

Canadian guitarist and vocalist Alan Crozier has been at the top of his game for nearly three decades and has inspired many guitarists with his versatility and technique across many musical styles. Alan’s deep vocal adds sophistication to his performance which is always enjoyed by his fans. Justin and Alan are joined by guitarist Eddie Creaney and drummer Richard Black, both experienced musicians with over 30 years of gigging between them.

The band features a strong visual style for performances by appearing in full western-style clothing with authentic Stetson hats, to enhance their country look. The new country ensemble bring excitement and entertainment to fans of American country & Irish country as well as playing a selection of classics from the 70’s era.

Official Launch

The band will officially launch with a selection of live performances at festivals and special appearances later this year, something the boys are really looking forward to.

Prior to the official launch the band will release a debut album in Summer 2015 after recording during the Spring at Portadown’s Studio 2 with talented producer & engineer James Wilson.

The band will also perform at a number of venues throughout the summer in advance of the official launch in September. Keep an eye on our tour dates for upcoming shows!

The bands set features up-tempo dance songs (perfect for filling the dance floor), slow sets, a few waltzes and some classic Irish sing-a-longs (perfect for festivals and theatre appearances).

Justin Mac focuses strongly on audience participation with a variety of show-pieces including dancing with fans and performing a mock shoot-out with chosen participants. Something not to be missed!

The band has amassed a set of cover songs from all the best loved artists such as Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, The Mavericks, Hal Ketchum, Dwight Yoakham, Joe Dolan, Elvis Presley and many more.

Artists from the new Irish country scene are also covered including Derek Ryan, Nathan Carter, Robert Mizzell and Jimmy Buckley.
